


Stepping up the game in Pro Mirrorless cameras, Canon has announced development of it’s upcoming pro mirrorless camera, EOS R3. This comes after Nikon’s latest announcement of it’s highest-end mirrorless camera, Z9, which is in development. Though the available details are limited, undoubtedly, the EOS R3 will be positioned above EOS R5, which is Canon’s flagship camera as of now.



The details about EOS R3 we know so far are promising. some of the key features are as follows
- In built vertical grip for shooting in landscape and Portrait
- Canon’s first camera to use new 35mm full frame stacked CMOS sensor which is backside Illuminated
- 30 fps with AF and AE tracking
- Eye control AF
- Deep-learning algorithm to improve recognition of Human subject
Canon has not shared any detail regarding Pricing or a release date. With strong competitors such as Sony Alpha1 and Nikon Z 9, we expect Canon ESO R3 to be at par and on higher end.
